Cleaning windows doesn't have to be a chore you dread. The secret is skipping paper towels — they leave lint everywhere. Instead, use a microfibre cloth and a simple solution of warm water mixed with a few drops of dish soap.

Spray lightly, wipe in circular motions, then finish with a dry cloth in straight vertical strokes to avoid streaks. Always clean windows on a cloudy day — direct sunlight dries the solution too fast and leaves marks.

For louvres and jalousies common in Nigerian homes, wrap a cloth around a ruler to clean between the slats quickly.
